Manufactured in Italy since 1954, Colnago is currently the most celebrated frame in the world, winner of the 1996 and 1998 World Championship and 1996 World Cup as well as numerous other pro road races. The Carbon Fiber C 40 -- Best in the land!

This frame has a patented construction method and has opened a new era in the application of carbon to cycle building. The C40 is the most desirable frame any racing cyclist could wish for. In addition to carbon fibre monocoque joints and tubes, this new version - the C40 B-Stay - has a revolutionary vertical rear stay which provides the frame with increased rear flexo-torsional rigidity thanks to a substantial increase in its section despite lightening the weight of the frame overall. The absence of a transversal bridge ensures correct distribution and reduced concentration of physical effort.

means that no joints are required and provides excellent fatigue strength. Structural soldering, the behaviour of the monocoque frame, the possibility of varyjng angles down to a thousandth of a degree, plus Art Decor paint and, most important, unbeatable racing performance, have all contributed to the global success of this professional frame. In addition it weighs a mere 1,100 gr for the size 54. The fork is the wonderful Star Carbon Ahead-Set, completely in carbon fiber.

Colnago's Queen wears a new Crown! Thanks to Ernesto Colnago's commitment to excellence and innovation, Colnago has improved the C-40 frame by using the B-Stay concept. By redesigning the rear triangle, the 2001 C-40 remains the most efficient bicycle frame available, while being exceptionally comfortable at the same time.
